Drypoint Etching Printmaking Workshop Course Content
- Introduction to drypoint etching using acrylic sheets and silver card. Explaining the two different processes with a short demonstration which will include preparing a plate, inking and printing it on the etching press.
- Explore the different ways of mark making using various tools and methods of creating texture and line.
- Work on plates to prepare for inking and printing. Experiment with different ways of inking and cleaning of the plate to achieve the desired effect.
- Ink and print multiple prints within time of workshop.
Images can be printed up to A4 in size, due to size of etching press. All materials are included in the course, including ink and paper. Please bring found images or drawings
to work from. Sample images will also be available.

Individual 1-1 Drypoint Etching Printmaking Workshop
Individual drypoint etching printmaking workshops on a 1-1 basis are available throughout the year at times to suit you. Prices start from £30 for an midweek evening workshop through to £80 for a weekend, full-day workshop. Click here to see the options available and to purchase a workshop voucher. Prices vary depending on the location, time and group size.
